Funeral Services for Mr. Francis Ray Richardson, 82, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 3, 2011 at the McClendon Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Richardson was born on June 18, 1928 in Hodge, LA and passed away on January 31, 2011 at the Northeast Louisiana War Veterans Home in Monroe, LA. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, where he received a Purple Heart. Mr. Richardson was a member of McClendon Baptist Church. He retired from Riverwood International and was a member of the Gideon’s International. Mr. Richardson is preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Beatrice Teer Richardson; parents, Pierce Gilbert and Willie Pauline Richardson; and brothers, Jack and David Richardson.

Survivors include his children, Gary Ray Richardson and his wife, Linda Moore Richardson; Terri Richardson Crawford and husband, Gerald, Jim Lewis and wife, Terry; grandchildren, Sydney Nicole Richardson, Matthew Pierce Richardson, Michelle Lewis Guillot and husband, Kenny, Jim Lewis and wife, Mary Taylor Lewis and Jeff Lewis; great grandchildren, Kendall and Taylor Guillot and Sutton and Bentley Lewis.

Pallbearers will be Jim Lewis, Jeff Lewis, Kenny Guillot, Kendall Guillot, Matt Richardson and Ron Barfield. Honorary Pallbearer will be Richard Ballard.

Memorials may be made to the Gideon’s International.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA and from 1:00 P.M. until service time Thursday at the church.
