Funeral Services for Frances Simms Gilbert Davis, 79, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 12:00PM Tuesday, June 21, 2016 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Pastor John Ney officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Calhoun.Mrs. Davis was born on October 17, 1936 in Alexandria, LA and passed away on June 18, 2016 in West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Davis attended Pollock High School. She worked at Rapides Bank in Alexandria, City National Bank in Baton Rouge, Central Bank in Monroe, and at Regions Bank in Monroe where she retired. She was a member of Jehovah Witness. Mrs. Davis enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Thomas Simms and Izora Normand Simms; former spouses, Julian Lamar Davis and Houston Gilbert; granddaughter, Tawny Davis; and brother, Joseph Thomas Simms, Jr. Survivors include her children, Thomas Davis (Gaylene), Douglas Davis (Erin), Anita Roundy (Dan); grandchildren, Alyssa Rogers (Joshua), Melanie Rogers (Brandon), Katie Dauner (Durand), Jospeh Davis, Megan Davis, Laura Foy (Patrick); great-grandchildren, Ashlynn, Karlie, Gage, Madeline, Kimber, and Aubreigh; siblings, Patrick Simms (Carolyn), Doris Johnson; and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Simms.Pallbearers will be Dan Roundy, Joseph Davis, Joshua Rogers, Brandon Rogers, Durand Dauner, and Michael Lyons.Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until service time on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
