Born to the union of Dewey and Minnie Cummings on March 28, 1932, in West Monroe, Frances was the middle child of three daughters. She was a lifelong resident of West Monroe and a member of Trinity Baptist Church for over 60 years.
Frances married Miron Fuller on April 1, 1950, and raised two children. She was known for her homemade pies and banana pudding. She often talked of her year-long career at Bell Telephone as a switchboard operator before becoming a full-time homemaker.
Sweet memories include her being at all of her son’s baseball games, telling stories of her childhood life in the country, shopping with her daughter and sisters, and fishing for white perch.
Frances dearly loved her two sisters. She, Doris, and Voe, known to the family as “The Sisters”, enjoyed shopping and eating out together.
Frances’ faith was strong and she leaves her family with a legacy of loving the Lord. It was rare that she would miss a church service.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Doris Sutton, and son-in-law, Jerry Mayfield.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Mayfield Martin (Tim); son, Daren Fuller (Beth); sister, Voe Mann; granddaughters, Angela Fuller (Thadeus Pugh), Christina Gilbert (Anthony), Felicia Fuller and Erica Fuller; great grandchildren, Saydee, Zoey and Harmony Fuller and Brayden Gilbert; step granddaughters, Mandy Caskey (Matt), Hannah Martin, Lana Brock (Jimmy) and Addie Pierce (Tim); step great grandchildren, RaeLea, Hayze, Katie, Lacen and Hallie; sisters-in-law, Louise Fuller and Novie Gillum; brother-in-law, Raymond Sutton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
