Frances BeemanFuneral services for Frances Beeman, 84, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 20, 2015, at the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum, with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Monroe. Mrs. Beeman passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015 at StoneyBrook Memory Care Center. Mrs. Beeman was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edwin Beeman; her parents, Peter A. and Pauline A. Warren, and ten brothers and sisters. Mrs. “B”, as she was known to many, will be remembered for her kind and generous nature. She was born to a family of thirteen children in rural Arkansas. She was the first member of her family to graduate from high school. She loved her schoolmates and teachers and kept in touch with them long after she graduated. She loved fishing almost as much as she loved her family, and spent as much time as she could at her camp on the Bonne Idee with her grandchildren. She spent many hours in the kitchen making jars of jellies and jams that she shared with everyone. Each Christmas many persons looked forward to receiving a special gift of fudge and divinity as only she could make. Mrs. “B” never met an animal she didn’t like or want to keep. She always had room for one more stray dog or cat. She will be greatly missed, but will be fondly remembered. Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Beeman and Tami Heflin; son, Scott Beeman and wife Cindy, all of Monroe, LA; six grandchildren, Ainsley Beeman, of Baton Rouge, LA; Jake Heflin, Emerson Heflin, Westly Heflin, all of Monroe, LA; Rachel Elledge and Brittany Elledge of West Monroe, LA; sisters, Nan Clift and husband Henry of Texarkana, TX, and Betty Cook of Nashville, TN.Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Monday, April 20, 2015, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum prior to the service.
