Frances B. Wallace

Funeral Services for Mrs. Frances B. Wallace, 78, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, May 6, 2017, at New Chapel Hill Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Charles Dupree officiating. Interment will follow in New Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Wallace was born November 20, 1938, and passed away May 3, 2017. She was a loving mother, grandmother, also known as “Nanny”, great grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a member of New Chapel Hill Baptist Church of West Monroe. Frances was very caring and dearly loved by all who knew her. She loved spending time with her family, especially at the holidays. She loved playing pokeno with her friends and attending church functions. Frances loved going on vacations and going to the Mardi Gras parade. Her favorite outing was going to get her hair done twice a week and getting a pedicure and her nails done.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ace Wallace; brother, Bobby Gates; and three sisters, Susie Gates, Helen Chumley and Linda Sherman.

Survivors include her children, Tracy Buffington and husband Layne, Kimberly Kaye Antley, and Chris D. Kelley and wife Kathleen; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister, Liz Moore; sister-in-law, Shirley Gates; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Josh Cannon, Randy Antley, Robert Young, Buddy Hollis, Jesse Johnson and Shannon Slade.

Visitation will be held from 2:30 P.M. until service time on Saturday at the church.
