Floyd Francis "Sonny" Peters, Jr.

Graveside Interment Services for Mr. Floyd Francis "Sonny" Peters, Jr, 79, of Monroe, LA, were held 11:00 AM Friday, January 19, 2024, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating.

Mr. Peters was born November 2, 1944 and passed away on January 16, 2024. He graduated from Ouachita Parish High School in 1965. Mr. Peters retired from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He enjoyed the outdoors hunting ducks and squirrels. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Francis Peters, Sr. and Sybil Conley Peters; sister, Gail Alice Peters Wilder; and wife, Sherry Taylor Peters.

Survivors include his sister, Phyllis L. Wilder and husband Sam Wilder; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
