Floyd "Bud" McIntosh

Graveside funeral services celebrating the life of Floyd “Bud” McIntosh, 85, of Calhoun, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Carlton Cemetery in Calhoun, LA.

Mr. McIntosh passed away of natural causes on November 25, 2024, at his residence.

Mr. McIntosh was born in West Monroe, LA and grew up in Calhoun, LA. He was a graduate of Calhoun High School and served in the Army soon after. While he was stationed at Fort Belvoir, he met his wife-to-be, Dorothea R. McIntosh, who passed away almost three years ago. They married in Short Hills, New Jersey and eventually made their home in Calhoun, Louisiana.

Bud was a professional home builder along with an owner and breeder of prized racehorses. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, fishing, going to quarter horse sales and races, and traveling. One of his favorite places to visit was Ruidoso, New Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothea R. McIntosh; father, Floyd McIntosh; mother, Lois McIntosh; sister, Virginia Mitchell; brothers, Jerry McIntosh and James Mcintosh.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Bryan Neal McIntosh and his wife, Diane and Christopher Ross McIntosh and his wife, Gloria; grandchildren, Aleksander McIntosh, Ava McIntosh, Eleanor McIntosh, and Charlotte McIntosh; brother, Richard “Dickie” McIntosh and his wife, Marilyn McIntosh.
