Mr. Floyd Gene Adams, 74, of West Monroe, LA passed away on Wednesday, June 15 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. Adams was born on December 8, 1941, to Floyd Roger Adams and Teressa Yvonne Smith. He retired from Graphic Packaging of Riverwood International in 2005. Mr. Adams was a Military Man and a talented and passionate golfer with the nickname of 'Gene the Machine.' He won numerous golf tournaments throughout Louisiana and throughout his college career. In addition to golf, he also enjoyed watching football and reading and watching crime stories. His nieces, nephews and their families were his joy. His mother and father and his younger brother Sheldon Kent Adams precede him in death. Survivors include: sister, Donna S Blanchard and husband Michael; nephew Beau Blanchard and wife Lauren, great nephew Camden, and niece Megan Blanchard, from California; niece Carly Rei and her husband Bledi, grandnephews Luk, Adem, and grandniece Bella, Tirana, Albania, Europe; niece Shelby Walters and sister-in-law Pam Thompson, West Monroe.
