Faye Margie Wade

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Faye Wade, 85, of Start, Louisiana, will be held at 4:00 P.M., Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Start Baptist Church, with Pastor Jeffrey Thomas officiating. The interment will follow immediately after at Start Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home. The visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Start Baptist Church.

Faye was born on January 4, 1939, in Start, Louisiana and went home to be with Jesus on September 12, 2024, in Start, Louisiana. 

Mrs. Wade was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, teacher, and leader. She loved Jesus, her family, teaching children, and Mickey Mouse. Mrs. Wade was an avid traveler and visited many places across the world including Disney World many times, Australia, Africa, and Europe. She even got to see the Northern Lights! She found joy in watching her children love their families, grandchildren compete in many sports and activities, and great-grandchildren play. Some of her favorite things to do included having coffee and ice cream with her best friends, acting as Mr. and Mrs. Clause alongside her twin brother, traveling with her friends and family, and being at church. 

Mrs. Wade was known and loved by many as “Granny.” She taught elementary school for 41 years in Richland Parish but loved being a Start Owl the most. Whatever school, Mrs. Wade had school spirit and was always enthusiastic when watching a ball game. She was a wonderful grandmother to her grandchildren, very supportive and energetic, but she was Granny to many more. Mrs. Wade loved all those she met and greeted them with a smile on her face. She had a big sense of adventure and made even the smallest tasks exciting. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Della Trisler; husband, William Wade; brothers and sister in laws; and many beloved friends and family. 

Family left to love Mrs. Wade and cherish her memory are her children and son in laws, Ron and Cindy Mason and Patrick and Patti Daniel; grandchildren, Brent and Paige Mason, Olivia Mason, Blake and Kayson Daniel, Spencer Daniel and Cayli Christmas; along with her great-grandchildren, Reese Mason and Tatum Daniel, and many nieces and nephews. 

The pallbearers will be Ron Mason, Patrick Daniel, Brent Mason, Blake Daniel, Spencer Daniel, Garey Trisler, and Rayland Trisler.
