Exie Rabun Grubbs

Graveside Services Celebrating the Life of Mrs. Exie Rabun Grubbs, 84, of Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 31, 2020 in the Mausoleum Chapel of Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA with Rev. David Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Grubbs was born on January 19, 1936 in Waverly, LA and passed away on December 25, 2020 in West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Grubbs enjoyed gardening, cooking and shopping. She was a wonderful cook (best cook ever) and she always had a smile for everyone. Mrs. Grubbs is preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey Rabun and Effie Lowery Rabun Summers; her brother, William H. “Tinker” Rabun; the father of her children, David L. Kahn; and her husband, Ernest Grubbs.

Survivors include her children, David L. Kahn, Jr. and wife, Annelle, Susan Parker, and Cynthia Hairston; grandchildren, Bailie Lauderdale, Natalie Kahn Manning, David L. “Bo” Kahn, III., Tyler Kahn, Connor Smith, and Anna Parker; six great grandchildren; special niece, Theresa Ratliff and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Thursday at the chapel Mausoleum.

Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the charity of your choice.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Ridgecrest Nursing Home for the wonderful loving care that they gave our mother while she was a resident there.
