Graveside Services for Mr. Everett Ritchie, 85, of West Monroe, LA will be 1:00 PM Monday, May 2, 2011 at the Hasley Cemetery Memorial Pavilion at Hasley Cemetery, West Monroe with Rev. Robert Wise officiating.
Mr. Ritchie was born on November 10, 1925 in Winnsboro, LA and passed away on April 29, 2011 in West Monroe, LA. He served in the United States Navy during WWII on the USS O’Flaherty for over 200,000 miles at sea. He is preceded in death by his wife and best friend, Mrs. Patsy Ritchie.
He is survived by daughter, Callie Dodd; son-in-law, Bubba Dodd; grandsons, Joshua Smith and his wife, Heather, Jeremy Smith, and William Dodd, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Camron Smith, Emily Smith, Hannah Smith, Samuel Smith, and one on the way.
Mr. Ritchie is also survived by his sister, Maxine Barry; brother, Bobby Ritchie and his wife, Lena; sister-in-law, Ruby Ritchie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Joshua Smith, Jeremy Smith, William Dodd, Jr., Bubba Dodd, Camron Smith, and Samuel Smith.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
Memorials may be made to the Northeast Louisiana Humane Society.
