Everett Louis Carlson

Memorial services for Mr. Everett Louis Carlson, 94, of Monroe will be held at a later date with Military Honors at the Port Hudson National Cemetery.

Mr. Carlson was born in Chicago, IL to Aron and Mable Carlson on January 8, 1918 and died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the Northeast Louisiana War Veterans Home. He was in the United States Marine Corp. serving in the Pacific during WWII. He was a salesman for Howard Griffin and other appliance businesses in the Monroe area.

Mr. Carlson was preceded in death by his son, Richard.

Survivors include his daughter, Linda Knight, MD and husband Bob; son, David Carlson and wife Patsy; three grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to all the caregivers at the War Veterans Home in Monroe.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice.
