Evelyne Elizabeth Stuckey Morris

Funeral services for Evelyne Elizabeth Stuckey Morris, 88, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, January 8, 2018, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe with Bro. David McGuffee and Gene Chelette officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Evelyne Elizabeth Stuckey Morris was born on February 24, 1929, in Jackson Parish, LA and went to be with the Lord on January 6, 2018, after a brief illness. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Monroe and a homemaker. She loved travelling, the outdoors, and camping with her family and friends. Mrs. Morris was very proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be remembered as a loving and caring person.
Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Myrle Ralph Morris; her parents, George Leslie Stuckey and Alice Naomi Davis Stuckey; her sisters, Genie Durrett, Cloteal McCorkle, Claudean Jensma, Clydell Thomas, and Brittie Perkins; her brothers, Travis Stuckey, Dick Stuckey, and Sonny Stuckey.
Survivors include daughters, Donna Strickland (Gary) of Monroe, LA, Suzette Graham (Mike) of Oklahoma City, OK, Debbie Webb (Keith) of Southaven, MS; sons, Michael Morris (Pam) of Monroe, LA, Ralph Morris (Terisa) of Baton Rouge, LA and Tony Morris (Vicki) of Gilbert, LA; grandchildren, Michelle Rogers (Blake) of Frisco, TX, Jennifer DeMoss (Brad) of Calhoun, LA, Heather Motley of Monroe, LA, Melissa Scroggins (Michael) of Edmond, OK, Robert Whittington (Justina) of Ponca City, OK, Ashley Webb Camburn (Drew) of Southaven, MS, Christopher Webb of Southaven, MS, Bryan Morris (Tina) of Gilbert, LA, Patrick Morris(Theresa) of West Monroe, LA, Wyatt Morris of Gilbert, LA; step-grandchildren, Colleen Fox (Andy) of Richmond, TX, Kirk Webb (Jessica) of Keller, TX; great grandchildren, Dylan and Colin Rogers, Claire and Loralei Scroggins, Haley Whittington, Hayden Morris, Cheyenne and Tristan Morris; step-great grandchildren, Jackson and Isaac Fox, Kylee and Kolton Webb, Natalie Hall; sisters-in-law, Joyce Stuckey Anding (Ray) of West Monroe, LA, Ruth Riser of Grayson, LA and Lucille Claunch of Ruston, LA; numerous nieces and nephews; and John Motley.
Mrs. Morris’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers and her great grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, January 7, 2018, at the funeral home.
