Evelyn G. Goodwin

Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Mrs. Evelyn G. Goodwin, 92, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 30, 2021, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Gregg Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in the Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, LA. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Friday.

Mrs. Goodwin was born on April 9, 1929, in Morehouse Parish and died on April 28, 2021, in Ouachita Parish. She was a retired Owner of Happy House Daycare in West Monroe for over 30 years and loved taking care of children. She loved her children and grandchildren, loved fishing and spending time at the lake, sewing, and playing cards and games with family and her many friends at Claiborne Creek Apartments.

Mrs. Goodwin is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Crandall Goodwin; parents, Leonard Rudolph and Nellie Josephine Birdsong; stepfather, Earl Birdsong; sisters, Lou Chain and Elsie Pickett.

Survivors include her children, Dennis Goodwin and wife, Libby, Ouida Purdy and husband, Danny, Lynn Condra and husband, Dale, and John Goodwin and wife, Kathy; 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Adam Goodwin, Jesse Gresham, Ross Gresham, Lane Kelley, Roger Kelley, and Jeff Babcock.
