Private Family Funeral Services for Mrs. Evelyn Dawn Taylor Hughes, 91, of Monroe, will be held at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating.
Mrs. Hughes was born June 29, 1929 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 5, 2021. She graduated from Farmerville High School in 1946 and attended a Business School. Mrs. Hughes was a member of College Place Baptist Church for many years prior to becoming a faithful member of North Monroe Baptist Church. She was a member of Adult #7 Life Group. Mrs. Hughes was employed with Ouachita National Bank in the 1960’s and 1970’s and then an office manager for her husband, Dr. Bill Hughes until 1989.
She is preceded in death by parents, Wilber, and Evelyn Taylor; brother, Bob Taylor; son, R. Copper Hughes MD; and nephew, Joe Taylor.
Survivors include husband of 71 years, Dr. Bill Hughes; son, Dr. Rusty Hughes (Phyllis); daughter-in-law, Ruthie Hughes; sister-in-law, Vee Taylor; grandchildren, David Hughes (Sarah), Amber Terry (Justin), Summer Leonard (Aaron), Luke Hughes (Jessica), Erin Thompson (Josh); ten great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The Family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care and Dr. Kerry Anders.
