Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Gale Bearden Reitzell Self, of Monroe, LA, will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 18, 2015, in the chapel at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Dr. Craig West officiating. Visitation will be 12:00 PM noon until service time Tuesday. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.Mrs. Self died on August 11, 2015 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS, from natural causes.Mrs. Self was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas W. Bearden and Callie Mae Bearden; and her first husband, Doxie Reitzell.Survivors include her daughter, Sherri Ison; son, Matthew Self and his wife Jaime; her six loving grandchildren; and four great grandchildren; her only sibling, Jean Herrington and husband David Herrington; and her nieces and nephew.Mrs. Self was born and raised in Monroe, LA, where she graduated from Neville High School and NLU. She later moved to Memphis. She had recently moved to Mississippi to be closer to her sister, Jean, who was her caretaker.
