Services for Mrs. Ethel Magee, 98 of Winnsboro, will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2016 in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro, with Rev. Bobby Magee officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Winnsboro Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.Mrs. Magee was born February 7, 1918 in Seminary, Mississippi and passed away on April 5, 2016, and was a homemaker, loved to garden and raise beautiful flowers, and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; William H. and Vesta Williams Hughes, husband, Carl “C.D.” Dixion Magee, daughter, Zannie Merle Magee, brothers; W.M., Johnny, George, and Guycell Hughes, and sister, Juanita “Red” Etheridge.Survivors include: Son, Danny Hughes Magee and wife Loretta of Woodworth, LA., daughter, Kathleen Magee Peebles of Winnsboro, LA., grandchildren; Dan Magee, Jr., and wife Lisa of Wisner, LA., Kristen Magee Clark and husband, Jeff of Chattanooga, TN., Bobby Magee and wife, Tracie of Lubbock, TX., and Richard H. Peebles and wife, Sara of West Monroe, LA., 9 great-grandchildren; Scottie Moore and wife, Victoria of Shreveport, LA., Walker Magee of Ruston, LA., Paige, Libby, and Ben Clark, all of Chattanooga, TN., Caleb, Jordan, and Ryan Magee, all of Lubbock, TX, and Maddalynn Peebles of West Monroe, LA., great-great-grandchild, Charlotte Moore of Shreveport, LA., sister, Madeline Hughes of Seminary, MS., and brother, Franklin Hughes, and wife Rachel of Seminary, MS.Pallbearers are: Scott Moore, Dan Magee, Walker Magee, Richard Peebles, Ray Hughes, Jeff Clark, and Ben Clark.Special thanks to the staff of Plantation Manor Nursing Home, and Hospice TLC, Inc.
