Funeral services for Ernest Ruby Sandidge, Jr., 84, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 6, 2015, in the chapel at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Danny Hawthorne officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.Mr. Sandidge passed away Monday, March 2, 2015, at St. Francis Medical Center. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. Mr. Sandidge was a retired engineer, a lifelong musician; known as “K5GHK” in the AARL (Amateur Radio Relay League). Mr. Sandidge was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Dufrene Sandidge; and parents, Ernest and Minnie Book Sandidge.Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Sandidge Nicosia, grandson, Drew Nicosia, and granddaughter, Brianna Daily all of West Monroe, LA; daughter, Wanda Sandidge McClellan and husband Walter “Mack” of New Port Richey, FL; granddaughter, Amber McClellan and great grandson, Andrew Elliott Massengill both of Sarasota, FL; grandson, Walter Alan McClellan, and great grandson, Walter Alan McClellan, Jr., both of New Port Richey, FL; grandson, Henry Brett McClellan of Kansas City, MO; son, Michael Vincin Sandidge and wife Amy, grandsons, Michael Bruce Sandidge, Torsten Joseph Sandidge, and Solon Mathias Sandidge all of Philadelphia, PA; and sister, Madlon Chisum of Enterprise, LA.Pallbearers will be Van Sandidge, Jerry Sandidge, Earnie Sandidge, Jerry Smith, Jim Lewis, James Sandidge, and Lavon Smith.Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday at the funeral home.Online Registry/Condolences: www.mulhearnfuneralhome.comMulhearn Funeral HomeSterlington RoadMonroe, LA
