Eloise Mathis Adair, 81, passed peacefully in her sleep on November 29, 2015 after a prolonged illness. Eloise is now at home with her Heavenly Father.Eloise was born to her parents, the late Euion and Preston Mathis of Newport, Arkansas on July 27, 1934. As a young girl she enjoyed playing basketball and was an avid reader her entire life. Eloise put herself through business school and was a dedicated employee of Central Oil until her retirement. She was a member of Jackson Street Church of Christ where she loved attending Bible study. Eloise’s faith was very important and sustained her through several of life’s trails. She enjoyed sewing, walking her dog Maggie, going to the beach and visiting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.Eloise is survived by her children, Diane Brown (Mickey) of Bossier City, LA, Edwin Adair (Becky) of Cordova, TN, and Bradley Adair of Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Ellie Logue Malki (Faris) of Birmingham, AL, Lauren Logue of Nashville, TN, Benjamin Logue (Ashley) of Bossier City, LA, Morgan Adair (Alicia) of Memphis, TN, Nick Adair of Nashville, TN, and Evan Adair of Memphis, TN; great grandchildren, Eli, Mary Logue, Jeremiah Malki, and Alston Logue, all who loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bill Adair.Eloise’s life will be celebrated in a memorial service at Mulhearn Chapel Mausoleum on December 3, 2015 at 2:00 PM.
