Elmo H. "Johnny" Hale

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Elmo H. “Johnny” Hale, 92, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, August 23, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe, LA with Dr. Mike Holloway officiating. Interment will follow in the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Rayville, LA.

 Mr. Hale was born on September 8, 1931 in Calhoun, LA and passed away on August 21, 2024, in West Monroe, LA. He retired from Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company with 32 years of service. Mr. Hale served two tours of duty in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Mr. Hale is preceded in death by his parents, Elmo and Leila Hale; and daughter, Cheryl Howard.

 Survivors include his wife, Shirley Greer Hale; children, Carolyn Herzer and husband, Roy, Karen Knox and husband, Michael, and John Stephen Hale; step-children, Scott Phillips and wife, Kathy, and Jolynn Phillips; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

 Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until service time on Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe, LA.
