Ella June Plag

Funeral services for Ella June Plag, 81, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 31, 2017, at New Light Baptist Church with Rev. Lindle Stewart and Rev. Ricky Baker officiating. Interment will follow at New Light Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mrs. Plag was born June 7, 1936 and passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017. She was a member of New Light Baptist Church.

Mrs. Plag was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Plag; sister, Barbara English; and daughter-in-law, Angie Plag.

Survivors include her children, Steven Plag, Donna Passerrello and husband Marty, Rebecca Ann Plag, and Mark Kevin Plag; grandchildren, Kristin Rowton, Angel Sellers, Chelsea Plag, and Kayla Ann Plag; brothers and sisters, Braxton Humphries and wife Connie, Jean McQuiston and husband Gradon, Beth Moore and husband Mike, Ronald Humphries and wife Mary, and Bryce Humphries and wife Susan; brother-in-law, John English; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Duke, Marty Passerrello, Matt Sellers, Bruce Adams, Mike Moore, and Michael McQuiston. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gradon McQuiston and John English.

Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at New Light Baptist Church.

The family request that any food donations please be taken to New Light Baptist Church so friends and family can celebrate during the visitation.
