Elizabeth "Liz" Gates Moore

Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Mrs. Elizabeth “Liz” Gates Moore, 90, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 6, 2022, at New Chapel Hill Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Charles Dupree and Dr. Marty Black officiating. Interment will follow in the New Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Elizabeth “Liz” Ann Gates Moore went home to her Lord and Savior on May 4, 2022, surrounded by those she loved. She was a businesswoman, bookkeeper, famer’s wife and matriarch of the family. She was devoted to her family and her faith, especially as they grew over the years. Not only was she a friend to everyone, but put others needs above her own. Her abundant love for the Lord blessed everyone she met.

Liz Moore was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Doug Moore; 4 sisters; 1 brother; and 1 great grandson.

Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Johnson, Jeanie Caldwell (Richard), and Cindy Young (Robert); grandchildren, Glenda Deroche (Michael), Jesse Johnson, Frederick Johnson (Jamie), William Young, Amanda LaBorde (Justin), Lewis Young (Kim), Craig Caldwell (Kari), and Katie Young; great grandchildren, Kristen Pinell (Ryan), Cameron Deroche, Emmett Johnson, Shawn Deroche, Harley Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Frederick Johnson Jr., Lily Young, Jase LaBorde, Aiden Jenkins, Ethan Young, Carter Young, Carley LaBorde, Easton Caldwell, and Raelyn Caldwell; and great great grandchildren, Bentley Johnson, Kellen Pinell, Emery Johnson, Elle Elizabeth Pinell, and Graham Pinell; Liz also leaves behind a host of many friends and loved ones.

Her grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, May 5, 2022, and from 10:00 A.M. until Service Time on Friday at New Chapel Hill Baptist Church.

Liz has always been and will continue to be our greatest prayer warrior.
