Elaine S. Herr

Funeral services for Elaine S. Herr, 98, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at St. Matthew Catholic Church with Rev. Mark E. Franklin officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mrs. Herr was born February 1, 1919, in New Orleans, LA and passed away September 2, 2017, in Monroe, LA She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church for over 50 years and a member of Catholic Daughters of America. Elaine loved to play Bridge and to fish.

Mrs. Herr was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Theodore Herr; and her parents, August Penrose Stockfleth and Mary Louise Chauvin Stockfleth.

Survivors include her children, Carolyn Roup and husband John, Timothy Herr and wife Jeanenne, Kathleen Poche and husband Walter, and Christopher Herbert Herr; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Melvin Stockfleth; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Donald Stockfleth, Jason Stuart, Timothy Herr, Destin Herr, Cleve Stevens and Levi Yantis.

Visitation will be 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM, Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to St. Francis Hospital ER and 6th floor nurses, Dr. Gregory Green, and McKeen Place Bingo friends.
