Edward Way Plescott, Jr., of Chardon, Ohio passed away on January 17, 2022, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, Louisiana. He was born in Euclid, Ohio on September 15, 1953, to Edward and Dolores Plescott, both deceased.
Ed was a proud and respected member of the Carpenter’s Union for forty-four years. He also served the Lord at New Promise Church in Kirtland. His favorite quote was, “God is good all the time!” He loved to travel cross country with his RV and Honda Gold Wing.
Ed also loved all things John Wayne and quoted the “Duke” quite often. He was also a big Bruce Lee fan and earned a black belt in Karate early in his life. He shared his love of martial arts with his children. He lived life to the fullest and followed his own path.
He was the loving father of Jennifer Toothman and Nicholas (Jo) Plescott. He also honorably adopted son Edward Rankin (deceased), and daughters Tracy (Steve) Dennis and Jamie (Kyle) Geese. Ed is also survived by his grandchildren, Haleigh, Patrick and Emily Toothman, and Delaney and Avery Plescott, as well as the sons of his adopted children; brother, Jeff (Chris) Plescott and sister, Loretta Hunt; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Ed is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and sister who passed shortly after him Chris McGuirk.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 4th at Calvary Assembly of God 28870 Chardon Rd, Willoughby Hills, OH 44092 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. followed by a service at 6:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg on Saturday 5th, February at 10:00 a.m.
Cremation services were provided by Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA. Memorial services and burial arrangements were taken care of by Calvary Assembly of God of Willoughby Hills and Crown Hill Cemetery.
