On June 1, 2018, Edward Hemphill of Monroe, LA went to be with his Lord. He was 91 years old and a native of Wisner, LA. Services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA. Brother Bob Holloway will be officiating. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM until time of service. Burial will be at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, 623 Highway 80 East, Monroe, LA, immediately following the service.
Mr. Hemphill served in the Army Air Corp in World War II. He retired from Van Trow as the Parts Manager. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and sharing that passion with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Haven Hemphill; his grandson, Chad Byrd; and his granddaughter, Shannon Walters; along with his parents and siblings.
He will be lovingly remembered by his five daughters, Janice Byrd (Randy), Sharon Travis (Roy), Mary Burris (Eddie), Nancy Hemphill, and Susan Rowland (Dennis); his seven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Clayton Travis, Jason Harvey, Brandon Burris, and John Michael Rowland, along with Jarrod Breithaupt and Peevy Harvey.
