Edward Frank Thrash, 86, beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully June 1, 2020. He is preceded in death by his wife, of 61 years, Bertha J. Thrash; and parents, Virgil and Zelma Thrash.
Frank is survived by his son, Keith Thrash (Stacy); daughter, Valerie Thrash Wilson (Chris); two grandchildren, Natalie and Andrea Wilson; and brother, James Thrash (Joyce).
Frank was born January 18, 1934, in Newton, Mississippi. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Mississippi State University and elected to membership in Tau Beta Pi Association, the oldest engineering honor society for students who have shown a history of academic achievement as well as a commitment to personal and professional integrity. He retired from Ford, Bacon, and Davis as Vice President of Engineering after 29 years. Frank was also an active member of the First United Methodist Church for 50 years. Frank lived a life of service to his family and community. He also enjoyed target shooting, fly fishing,
and gardening.
Interment will be at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe. A memorial service is planned for a later date.
