Funeral services for Mr. Edmond B. Singleton, 96, of Monroe, will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 1, 2007, at New Light Baptist Church with Rev. Lindle Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mr. Singleton was born in Alabama and moved to Monroe in 1951. He was employed by Ford, Bacon, and Davis as a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Williams Sullivan Singleton; eight children, Bennie L. Singleton, Katie Singleton May, Eddie Singleton, Charles Sullivan, Diane Sullivan Barham, Sandra Sullivan Hicks, Dexter Sullivan, and Carolyn Sullivan Harrell; sixteen grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home,
Sterlington Road, Monroe.
