Eddie Hoy, Sr.

Memorial Services for Eddie Hoy, Sr., 78, of Calhoun, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 11, 2019, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Waylan Piercey officiating. Inurnment will be in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Monday.

Mr. Hoy was born May 17, 1941 and passed away November 5, 2019. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving from 1960 until 1964. He was a great dad, stepdad, grandfather, uncle and husband.

Mr. Hoy was preceded in death by his father, Walter C. Hoy, Sr.; mother, Rosalee Hoy; son, Eddie Hoy, Jr.; brothers, Charley Hoy, Sammy Hoy, Walter C. Hoy, Jr., and James E. Hoy, Sr.; sisters, Margie L. Gross, Marie Jones; wife, Ruth Mullins Hoy; and wife, Linda J. Hoy.

Survivors include his nieces, Elizabeth Hoy Blood, Susan D. Poole, Dawn Eldridge, and Terry Jones Booth; nephews, Wayne Hoy, Sr., Michael Jones and Walter K. Jones; children of Ruth, Brenda Thornhill, Ronnie Fox, Terry Rice, Frank Fox and Rusty Fox; daughter of Linda, Cara Duchnowski; two grandchildren, fourteen step grandchildren; and nine step great grandchildren; numerous other nieces and nephews.
