Graveside Services for Mr. Earnest Wallace, 82, of Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 4, 2016 in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel Monroe, LA with Rev. Don Banks officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.Mr. Wallace passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 30, after a short battle with brain cancer. He lived all of his life in and around Monroe over his many years. After his service with the Navy during the Korean War and the USS Roosevelt, Earnest became an offshore rigsman working from the Gulf of Mexico and up the Mississippi River until his retirement. Earnest is preceded in death by all 8 of his siblings. He leaves behind two sons, William Alvin Wallace of St. Augustine, FL and Earnest Wallace, Jr. of West Monroe, LA and their mother, Barbara Wallace of West Monroe, LA.Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until Service Time on Wednesday at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.Rest in Peace “Mickey”, this was his nickname that many called him, you’ll be missed and now can be at rest.Memorials may be made to the Aime Hospice Care, 510 Trenton Street, Suite 100, West Monroe, LA 71291.
