Funeral Services for Earl L. Farmer, 96, of Eros, LA will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Clark Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Lance Otwell, Bro. Robert “Bodie” Spicer, and Bro. Chance Caston officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Calhoun under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Earl was born on April 1, 1923 in Downsville, LA and passed away on September 20, 2019 in Eros, LA. He was one of the original founders of the Ouachita Riding Club. Earl was ranked as a Private in the United States Army and served as a truck driver in the European Theatre. He was stationed in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe. Earl was a member of Clark Springs Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Louise Halley Farmer; mother, Mamie Lee Patterson Morris; father, Homer Farmer; stepfather, Bill Morris; and brothers, Harold Wayne Farmer and Donnie Farmer.
Survivors include his son, Kenneth Earl Farmer and wife Diane; daughters, Janis Evelyn Farmer Byrd and husband Gerald, Janie Lynn Farmer Taylor and husband Bobby; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; sisters, Lois Jean Brouilette and husband Terry, Dorothy Bushnell and husband Trey; Sister-in-law, Mary Drake Farmer; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Veronica Foster, Stacey Jones with Caring Hands Hospice, and Angela with St. Francis Hospital for the outstanding love and care they gave to our Dad.
