Dr. William Wadd Miller III

A graveside service for Dr. William Wadd Miller, III, 90, of Sterlington, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd.

Dr. Miller was born October 4, 1932, in Starkville, MS, and passed away September 28, 2023, in Sterlington, LA.

Long standing professor of physiology whose teaching helped launch many medical careers has gone to fish the waters of eternity. He was always thankful for all of his students and fishing buddies.

Dr. Miller was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Miller; parents, William W. Miller, Jr. and Nettie Miller; and his sister, Mary Black.

Survivors include his son, William W. Miller IV (Donna); daughter, Eva Miller Lockwood (Richard); grandchildren, Sara Miller, Hannah Miller, Sam Miller (Nicole), Trey Lockwood (Lindsey), Ryan Lockwood (Kandice), Allyson Black (Justin); and great grandchildren, Kooper Lockwood, Sarah Jane Lockwood, Read Lockwood, Emmie Lockwood, Gavyn Black, Ridley Black, and Gentry Black.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or MedCamps of Louisiana.
