Dorothy Yvonne Hires, 76, of West Monroe, LA passed away on July 21, 2017, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center.
Ms. Hires was born July 25, 1940 in Monroe, LA. She enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, watching movies, gardening and baking. Ms. Hires was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Hiram Young and Evelyn Frances Young; daughter, Dyanna Lynn Ankeny; brother, Mark Henry Young; niece, Heather Nicole Young.
She is survived by her children, James Steven Ankeny, Karen Renea Ankeny Kepplinger and her husband Kevin Kepplinger and Susan Cathleen Hires; brothers, Roy Neil Young and wife Melanie Robinson Young and Curtis Wayne Young and wife Kathy Hubbard Young; sister-in-law, Rita Self Young; grandchildren, Kaley Renea Kepplinger and Cedric Connor Anzelmo; two nieces and five nephews.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
