Dorothy Whipple Talley

The family of Mrs. Dorothy Whipple Talley, 78, of Monroe, LA will receive friends for visitation Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 1:00 until 2:30 P.M. at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe. A funeral procession will follow to Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery for a 3:00 P.M. graveside service, with Rev. Warren Eckhart officiating.
Mrs. Talley died November 2, 2016 in Jackson, MS.
Dot was born in Ferriday, LA to the union of John Ray and Myrtle Garrett in 1938. In her early years the family lived in Bastrop, Shreveport where she attended Fair Park High School, and finally moving to Monroe, LA where she graduated from Neville High School Class of 1956.
She married Brodie Jack Whipple and had one son, Stephen Garrett Whipple and in 1966 married David Talley and had a son, John Michael Talley. In her business career, she worked for Central Bank and Mr. Billy Boles at First Fidelity Mortgage Company.

Survivors: Her husband of 50 years, David Talley; Sons Stephen Garrett Whipple and his wife, Cathy, and John Michael Talley and his wife, Annsley; Grandchildren, Garrett, Patrick, and Adam Whipple, Mallory, Michael David, and Reid Mason Talley; Great Granddaughter, Miley Grace

Pallbearers will be Michael David Talley, Adam Whipple, Patrick Whipple, Garrett Whipple, Gary Cox, and Ken Slomosky
