Dorothy Jane Sartor Davidson

Dorothy Jane Sartor Davidson passed away on January 27, 2021. Dorothy was born in Shreveport, LA on June 17, 1958 to Dr. Daniel W. Sartor and Jane Sayre Sartor. She grew up in Monroe and graduated from River Oaks School and attended Louisiana Tech. She was a lifelong member of Grace Episcopal Church.

Dorothy worked for her father and brother’s medical practice where her care and compassion touched many lives. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and going on long walks with her dogs. She loved nothing more than seeing that her family and friends were well taken care, especially with tins of her homemade cheese straws.

Some of her favorite times were spent on her back deck and on the beach at Perdido Key.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband Ronnie Davidson; her son Christopher Rainwater and granddaughter Sophie Rainwater; her stepchildren Jason Davidson (Lyndsey) and Megan Stanislas (Daniel) and her step grandchildren Alex Herrera and Harper Davidson; her mother Jane Sartor; siblings Daniel Sartor, Jr., Dr. Frank Sartor (Forrest), Elizabeth LeGros (Clay), Thomas Sartor (Annmarie); numerous nieces and nephews; and her faithful furry companions Gracie and Max.

A funeral mass will be held at Grace Episcopal Church on Monday, February 1, at 11:00am with a private internment immediately following the mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Episcopal Church, Monroe, or a charity of your choice.
