Dorothy Faye Hopkins

Graveside services for Mrs. Dorothy Faye Hopkins, 85, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 22, 2017, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Jason Beard officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mrs. Hopkins passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017. She was born in Tennessee, March 2, 1931, but became a longtime resident of Monroe. She retired from JC Penny after 27 years.

Mrs. Hopkins was preceded in death by her daughter, Delois Ann Dison and her husband, Norman Hopkins.

Survivors include her sister, Betty Lindsay; daughter, Debbie Payne and her husband, Jeff Payne; grandchildren, Christopher Johnson, Malcolm Johnson, Lillian Faye Beard and husband Reverend Jason Beard; and seven great grandchildren, Judah Beard, Abella Beard, Gracie Beard, Titus Beard, Ayden Houston, Mya Finnegan, and Malcolm Johnson, III.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe, LA.
