Funeral services for Dorothy Boggs Elliott, 96, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 7, 2017, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe, with Richard Byrd officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe.
Dorothy went to be with her Lord Saturday, February 4, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Todd Elliott, Jr. Dorothy was the only child of Rosa and Herman Curtis Boggs of Brownsville, Tennessee.
She is survived by her son, John Todd Elliott, III and his wife Carolyn; her daughters, Janice Elliott Hearne and her husband Ronald, and Dianne Elliott Santo and her husband Dennis; and grandchildren, Ronald Elliott Hearne, Dorothy (Dee) Elise Hearne Rabb (John), Holly Renee Elliott Ryals (Bo), and Ashley Todd Elliott Fletcher (Jason); and 7 great grandchildren.
Dorothy was a devoted Christian and served the Lord as a member of the Jackson Street Church of Christ, Monroe, and the Swartz Church of Christ.
Dorothy’s loving spirit and generosity was evident in all aspects of her life. She was a longtime supporter of the ASPCA, Paralyzed Veterans, Wounded Warriors, St. Jude, Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Association and the Northeast Louisiana Food Bank.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe.
Pallbearers will be Ray Pierce, Charles Matheny, Roy Dean Sisson, Bo Ryals, Chase Ryals and Jason Fletcher.
