.Dorothy DeLaSalle WindhamFuneral services for Dorothy DeLaSalle Windham, 84, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 22, 2015, in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Monroe with Brother Norman Bryant officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Mrs. Windham passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015, at Stoneybrook. Dorothy Windham retired after 39 years of service with the U.S.P.S. as a rural carrier. She was an active member of the National Rural Letter Carrier’s Association, holding many positions including State Steward, Secretary-Treasurer and President and attended yearly national conventions.Mrs. Windham was preceded in death by an infant son; husband, James E. Windham; son, C. O.; daughter, Mae Windham Draughn; brothers, Rayland, Glenn and Charles (Buddy) DeLaSalle and sister, Ellen Waters.She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Judy Windham; siblings, Delores Pender and husband, Jerry, Irene DeLaSalle and Johnny DeLaSalle and wife Marcelle; sisters-in-law, Florene DeLaSalle, Gloria DeLaSalle and Sandra DeLaSalle; grandchildren, Michelle Jenkins and husband Ronnie; Rachele Kennedy and husband Kevin; Chuck and Jonathan Windham; James and Chris Draughn and 8 great grandchildren.Pallbearers will be Chuck Windham, Jonathan Windham, James Draughn, Chris Draughn, John Pender and Danny McGraw.Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Saturday, February 21, 2015, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
