Doris Elaine Edwards Painich

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Doris Elaine Edwards Painich, 72, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 9, 2021, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA, with Dr. Mark Fenn officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA.

Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Mrs. Painich died July 5, 2021, at her residence after a brief illness.

Elaine was a member of First United Methodist Church in West Monroe, LA. She retired as account executive with the NewsStar Paper (Gannett). She was involved in the insurance industry for many years and after her retirement she joined her son’s agency at State Farm. Elaine’s hobby was being with her grandchildren, whether in the kitchen cooking, at the ballpark, or any activities they were involved in she would be there.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Doris Edwards.

Survivors: her husband, Mr. William Thomas (Willie) Painich, Jr.; her son, Daren Moody; stepchildren, Lisa Painich Tarver and husband, Mark, and Joseph Painich and wife, Allison; Grandchildren, Jack Edward Moody, Mae Marie Moody, Estelle Ruth Moody, Payton Tarver (Sarah), Sierra Tarver, Mason Tarver, Maddie Painich, and Nate Painich; Brother, Lee Edwards; Aunt, Vicki Drewett Buckhalter and husband, John; Special Cousin, Linda Holloway and husband, Kip; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joey Painich, Mark Tarver, Payton Tarver, Jack Moody, Mason Tarver, Nate Painich, Heath Mills, Josh Rogers, and Chris Hilburn.
