Doris Claire Martinolich Amato

Funeral services for Doris Claire Martinolich Amato, 95, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 27, 2017, in the chapel at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum, Monroe, LA, with Rev. Job Edathinatt officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Doris passed away on January 22, 2017. She was born on September 18, 1921 in New Orleans, LA. Doris was a devoted wife, mother and devout Catholic.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Anthony P. “Tony” Amato and her beloved 8 year old grandson, Luke Amato.
Survivors include her son, Gerard A. Amato (Elena) and their daughter, Anastasia; her loving “daughter/angel”, Connie Bernhardt Bryant, her husband, Ronnie Bryant and their family. These “special angels” saved Doris and Tony from Hurricane Katrina and continued to love and support them after they relocated to Monroe, where they lived out their final years.
Visitation will be 9:00 AM until service time, Friday, at the cemetery.
