Donna Renee Whetstone

Donna Renee Whetstone went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 15,2025 at her home in Arlington, TN. A celebration of her life funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 12PM at Mulhearn Funeral home, 2308 Sterlington Rd, Monroe with her brother Dr Jason Murphy, Pastor at Grace Chapel in Collierville, TN officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Tuesday, immediately prior to the service. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

On December 10, 1965, we were blessed with the arrival of Donna and what an incredible gift she was to all of us. She was born with such a kind, loving, gentle spirit. Her thoughts and concerns were always for someone else, and she was always mindful of the feelings of others. She never wanted to call attention to herself, choosing always to stay in the background. It was that gentle spirit that drew others to her. She was strong, courageous, brilliant, and independent. She was the strongest person we knew. She loved her family dearly. Her children and grandchildren were her life and her greatest joy was spending time with them. She left them and all of us a legacy of love, devotion, and commitment that will live forever in our hearts and minds.

Donna was preceded in death by her 2 precious sons, Colby Whetstone and Micah Whetstone, her grandparents Marion and Alice Clark, Eaph and Clara Harrell, Cliss and Betress Murphy and her father-in-law, Craig Whetstone. 

The void she left in our lives will be so great, but those left to cherish, honor and celebrate her memory are her husband of 41 years, Larkin Whetstone, sons, Ryan Whetstone & wife Cally, and Caden Whetstone, grandchildren Makenna, Baylen, Camden, Hayes, Wiley, Greer and Jovie Whetstone, Parents, Judi & Dell Murphy, Robert & Darlene Harrell, brothers Patrick Harrell, Shon Murphy, and Jason Murphy and wife Kelly, Brandon Harrell & wife Shauna, sisters Patty Ray & Missy Ray, Michele Harrell, mother-in-law Helen Whetstone & a host of other loving family members. Pallbearers will be Gene Giger, Derek Trichell, James Fresh, Josiah Murphy, Derek Schoen, Patrick Harrell, Brandon Harrell, Shon Murphy and Stan Schoen.

Donna, we will always love you and miss you until we join you in heaven one day soon. We know you are celebrating with your boys!
