Donna Jean Hancock

Private Family Graveside Services for Mrs. Donna Jean Hancock, 79, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at a later date. Interment will be held at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum beside her husband, Billy Ray Hancock.

Mrs. Hancock was born November 23, 1944 and passed away on November 29, 2023. She enjoyed reading, watching television, and spending time with her dogs and her sister, Geri. Mrs. Hancock retired from Mr. Payroll after 15 years. She used up her nineth live and was called home to be with her Lord and Savior.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Nancy Williams Smith; husband Billy Ray Hancock; sisters, Linda Harris and Barbara Poole; and granddaughter, Destiny Devone Poole.

Survivors include her four children, Nancy Devone Poole, Donna Lynn Poole, Michael Poole, and Debra Poole; sister, Geri Smith; brother, Larry Smith and wife Robin; as well as nephews, Robbie Thompson and Shelby Thompson; as well as her side kick, “Minnie”.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses, Shandy and Gail, of Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care and Dr. Billy Branch.
