Funeral Mass for Donna Bowers Lowdermilk, 67, of West Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at St. Matthew Catholic Church with Rev. Richard Norsworthy and Rev. Lijo Thomas officiating. Services are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mrs. Lowdermilk was born June 10, 1945 in Jackson, MS and died Sunday, July 22, 2012. She was a graduate of Ouachita Parish High School and the University of Louisiana – Monroe, School of Accounting. Mrs. Lowdermilk served as a Corporal in the United States Women Marines. She was a Certified Public Accountant, retired from the Internal Audit Department of CenturyLink. Mrs. Lowdermilk was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America – Court, St. Matthew Catholic Church, Monroe, St. Matthew Altar Society, the American institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Louisiana certified Public Accountants.
Mrs. Lowdermilk was preceded in death by parents, James A. and Helen Bowers; and two brothers, Jimbo and George Bowers.
Survivors include her sister, Helen Hatfield and husband James L; nieces, Gwen Ward and husband Horace and Sharon M. Hatfield, all of Shelbyville, TN; nephews, James L. Hatfield, Jr. and wife Terri of Murfreesboro, TN, and Theodore A. Young and wife Kimberly of Ambler, PA; great nieces, Haley and Taylor Hatfield of Murfreesboro, TN; and very special friends and church family.
Visitation will be Wednesday beginning at 12:30 PM with a Rosary at 1:30 PM before the service at St. Matthew Catholic Church
