Funeral Services for Mr. Donald Trevis “Trev” Wheeling, of West Monroe, LA, formerly of Cartersville, GA, will be 10:00 AM Friday, May 27, 2022, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Brandon Stroud officiating. Interment will follow at Harris Cemetery near Winnsboro, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Trev was born July 14, 1971 in Austell, GA and went home to be with Jesus on May 22, 2022, in West Monroe, LA at the age of 50. He was a 1989 graduate of Cass High School, a graduate of Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service, and was a certified crematory operator. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, cooking, especially grilling and smoking meats, and he loved to entertain friends and family. He loved Harley Davidson and had a vast collection of Harley Davidson t-shirts he collected on the trips he took with his family. Trev, also known as “Big Daddy T”, had a very tender heart, loved his wife and children immensely, and was so very proud of them. He was often a shoulder to cry on for many people and was always good at giving advice and lending a helping hand. He opened his home to many who needed a home or just needed one of those late night front porch counseling sessions. Trev was a loving husband, son, father, brother and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Januarie “Nikki” Wheeling; one son, Jonathan Luke Wheeling; his father, Jessie Franklin Wheeling, his mother, Elizabeth Caralu Self; two brothers, Frankie and Lamar Wheeling; and father-in-law, Don Parker.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Robin Parker Wheeling of West Monroe; his children, Jeremiah Wheeling and wife, Amber, Levi Wheeling, Allison Wheeling, Carson Wheeling, all of West Monroe, Emily Grant and fiancé Kevin Hendricks of Longview, TX, Lauren and Allie Grant, both of West Monroe; one sister, Nikki Whaley Wheeling of Chatsworth, GA; mother-in-law, Phyllis Parker of Winnsboro; sisters-in-law, Bobbie Littrell and husband, Carl and Julie Kunzler and Billy Joe, all of Winnsboro; brothers-in-law, Daniel Parker and wife, Beverly, and Michael Kunzler both of Winnsboro; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Levi Wheeling, Will Hancock, Jason Horst, Bryan Frith, Josh Dean, Louis Shaw and Brian Daves. Honorary pallbearers will be Rev. David Mixon, Daniel Parker, Gus Antis, Dale Ross, Ethan Selby, Aaron Kunzler, Trey Brister, Mike Clark, Hoot Caskey, and Bryant Mitchell.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
