Donald Ray Meador

Funeral Services for Donald Ray Meador, 78, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, January 14, 2021 at New Chapel Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Marty Black officiating. Interment will follow in the New Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Donald was born on February 23, 1942 and passed away on January 10, 2021. He was the owner of Power Coating in West Monroe and was the former partner in Triple A Glass. Donald loved his family and having family get togethers. He was also the past president of Classic Chevy car club, and a Deacon at New Chapel Hill Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Alice Gilbert Meador; parents, Auda and Mary Lea Meador; brothers, James Meador and Johnny Meador; sister, Barbara Childress; and brother-in-law, Paul Fontana.

Survivors include his children, Lance Ray Meador and fiancé Sonja; and Derrick Dewayne Meador; grandchildren, Dakota, Landon and Meg; sister, Margaret Fontana; brother, Hilman “Buddy” Meador; sister-in-law, Maxine Bryan; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Pallbearers will be Dakota Meador, Landon Meador, Louis Fontana, Johnny Fontana, Wayne Heart, Roy Anderson, Mel Shackelford, and Charlie Bush.

Visitation will be held from 12:45PM until service time at the church on Thursday, January 14, 2021.
