Funeral services celebrating the life of Donald Ray Eady, 79, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, September 4, 2017, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA with Rev. Clyde Walker and Sister Ruby Dulaney officiating. Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery.
Donald Ray Eady was born January 22, 1938, and passed away August 31, 2017. He was a member of Brownville Assembly of God. Donald was a well-known and much respected Electrician for many years, first working for Cheeks Electric, and then owning his own business for the last 30+ years. His wife, Jean worked closely with him for many years, and after her death in 2011, he closed his business. Donald loved gardening and taking care of his yard. He will be greatly missed in our community.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Eady; parents, Alvie and Novie Eady; brothers, Robert and Harvie Eady; and sister, Victoria Kennedy.
Survivors include his brother, Roy Eady and wife Wanda; sister, Evelyn Martin; brother, Clyde Eady; special friend, Johnny Mac Cummings “My best friend in the whole wide world”; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mike Eady, Victor Kennedy, Bubba Miller, Jason George, Andy Willman and Wade Graham.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Sunday, September 3, 2017, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
