Funeral services for Don Thomas Earl Green, 79, of Calhoun, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday February 28, 2017 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Bro. Chase Green officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
Mr. Green was born on May 1, 1937 in Curtis Junction, Arkansas and passed away on February 25, 2017 in West Monroe. Mr. Green started in business in the 1950’s in jukebox, pinball machines and amusement industry, in the late 1960’s early 1970’s he built in excess of 30 Stuckey’s stores across the country. In the late 1970’s he owned Northside Texaco for many years and in 1985 he started Discount Tires where he worked until 3 weeks of his passing. Mr. Green loved gardening, especially growing tomatoes. His Early girl and Bradley tomatoes will be sorely missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Fern Green, brothers, Billy Hugh Green, James Green, Charles Green and his black lab, Champ.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years Marcia Green; children, Richard Green, Kevin Green and wife Phyllis, Tim Green and wife Tricia, Erica Harris and husband David, Michelle Ford and husband Thomas; grandchildren, Dack Lowery and wife Kasie, Don Clayton Green and wife Cammy, Emily Green, Chase Green and wife Lindsey, Victoria Bird and husband Nathan, Lauren, Alex, Lane, and Eli Green, Destiney and Nathan Harris, Addie and Ellie Ford; four great grandchildren; brothers, Alan Green and wife Shirley, Larry Green and wife Glenda.
Pallbearers will be Dack Lowery, Don Clayton Green, Chase Green, Will Rogers, David Douglas, and Peter Watzek.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Willard Bradford, Lane Green, Eli Green, Nathan Harris, Andrew Green, Noah Bird and Tracy Kiddy.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday February 27, 2017 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
Following the graveside services, the family would like to invite friends to attend a reception at the Bawcomville Church of Christ Annex Building.
