Derek Wayne "Cheese" Keen

Memorial Services Celebrating the Life of Mr. Derek Wayne "Cheese" Keen, 39, of West Monroe, LA, will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 23, 2020, at the Anchor Baptist Church in Monroe. A private family interment will be held at a later date at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Rayville, LA. Arrangements are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA.

Derek was born on March 12, 1981 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 17, 2020.
He served his country in the United States National Guard, retiring after 20 years. Derek enjoyed being a HAM radio operator, watching movies, being outdoors, hunting, fishing, 4-wheeler riding, weightlifting, video gaming with his children, mowing his yard, and target practice. He was a gun collector and enthusiast. Derek enjoyed watching football, baseball, especially the Sterlington Panthers, LSU and the New Orleans Saints. His pride and joy was spending time with his family, the ones whom he loved the most.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John Wilhite, Sr, Louise Farrar Wilhite, Roy Keen, and Robbie B. McKay Keen; and cousin, Micah King.

Survivors include his wife, Amanda Voiles; his children, Skyler Grant Keen, Kayden Micah Keen, Ember Rose Keen, and Cidne Joseph Hawes; parents, Rhonda Wilhite Keen and Roger Wayne Keen; two brothers, Nathan Heath Keen and wife Meagan and Travis Brent Keen and Janice; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
