Dennis Marlon Cobb, Sr.

Funeral Services for Mr. Dennis Marlon Cobb, Sr, 77, of West Monroe, LA, will be 11:00 AM Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Liberty Grove Church of God, with Rev. Joey Pepmiller officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Liberty Grove Church of God. Arrangements are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Marlon was born February 14, 1945 and passed away on June 29, 2022. He served his country in the National Guard. Marlon enjoyed camping and playing the mandolin. He was a member of the Grass Fire blue grass band. Marlon retired after 43 years from Layne as district sales manager.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Brooks and Olean Cobb; and brother-in-law, Dicky Taylor.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Janice Cobb; three sons, Scott Cobb and wife Leigh, Dennis Cobb, Jr and wife Stephanie, Wade Cobb and wife Nicole; eight grandchildren, Kyle Murphy and husband Rob, Stephen Cobb, Mason Cobb, Eli Cobb, Cameron Cobb, Bentley Cobb, Madison “Madi” Cobb, and Ainsley Cobb; one great-granddaughter, Valerie Claire Murphy and one great-grandchild on the way; brother, Stanley Brooks Cobb; sister, Nina Taylor Ray and her husband Bobby; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
