Dennis James Bratton

Funeral services for Dennis James Bratton, 71, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 8, 2019, at St. Matthew Catholic Church with Rev. Mark Franklin officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and a Rosary at 7:00 PM Wednesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mr. Bratton was born January 8, 1948 and passed away Monday, August 5, 2019. Dennis retired from Bell South with over 30 years of service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Matthew Catholic Church. He was a longtime La Tech supporter and graduate, local business owner of Monjuni’s Italian Café and Grocery.

Mr. Bratton was preceded in death by his mother and father, B F and Lucille Bratton; and brothers, Rocky and Benjamin Bratton.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Hunt Bratton; sons, Gabrial Benjamin Bratton, Robert Lawrence Bratton, and Matthew David Bratton; brother, Larry Bratton and wife Pam Bratton; grandchildren, Lauren Bratton, Mattie Bratton, Andrew Bratton, Ella Grace Bratton, and Cason Bratton.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Bratton, Daniel Bratton, Beau Beard, Heath Smith, Jeff Reeves, and David Chicola. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Cernigliaro, Chris Turner, Sam Reeves, and Bob Fitzgerald.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to M D Anderson Medical Center.
