Funeral service for Mrs. Delores Traweek, 81, of Monroe, LA, will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, April 25, 2021, in the Mausoleum Chapel at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe with Rev. Clyde Sanchez officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe. Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until service time at the mausoleum chapel.
Mrs. Traweek was born September 10, 1939, in Spearsville, Louisiana and died on April 21, 2021, in Monroe. Mrs. Traweek was a member of Bayou Oaks Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who loved to cook. She was known as MeMe to her grandchildren and to numerous children she cared for over the years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Traweek; sister, Geraldine Hicks, sons-in-law, Paul Hinton and Kenny Massey.
Survivors include her children, Penny Massey, Connie Lindsey (Mike), Jamie Traweek (Twila), and Jason Traweek (Nicole), and their children, Jennifer Scalia (James), Chris Hinton (Laura), Ryan Traweek (Danielle), Seth Traweek, Aubrey Traweek, Ava Traweek, and Zack Lindsey; Great Grandchildren, Jaxson Scalia, Bryson Hinton, Nolan Hinton, Keenan Payne and soon to arrive Collins Traweek; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Traweek, Seth Traweek, Zack Lindsey, Chris Hinton, James Scalia, and Keenan Payne.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Bayou Oaks Baptist Church, Alzheimer’s Association, or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
